Seattle Suing Trump Administration Over Sanctuary City

Seattle is the first city to sue the federal government over their attack on sanctuary cities

The city of Seattle has announced they are suing the Trump administration over their attack on sanctuary cities.

On Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Department of Justice would withhold federal grants from sanctuary cities. The Trump administration is claiming that sanctuary cities are violating immigration law by refusing to help track and deport illegal immigrants.

Well, Seattle is suing, and their argument is that the Trump administration is violating the 10th Amendment by trying to make local police enforce federal law.

San Francisco and two cities in Massachusetts already filed suit following an earlier executive by the Trump administration in February.
