Trump Campaign Paid $1.1 Million In Legal Fees For Trump and Jr. In Three Months

Trump continues to pay his Russia legal fees using campaign donor funds.

In a sign that Russia investigation has been intensifying dramatically, President Trump’s campaign spent $1.1 million on legal fees over the past three months, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.

And it’s not just Trump who is getting his legal fees paid for by donor cash. Trump is also paying his son’s legal fees with campaign funds.

According to the new FEC filings, the Trump campaign paid $237,924 to the law firm of Alan Futerfas, which has represented Donald Trump Jr. in the Russia investigation.

In addition, $30,000 was paid to Williams and Jensen – another firm representing Trump Jr.

However, the largest portion of the legal fees was used to pay for the president’s legal defense team. The filings show the Trump campaign paid out $802,185 to the law firm Jones Day.

The Trump campaign even found a way to send some of those legal payments to the Trump Corporation. The filing shows that $25,885 in campaign cash was spent on something called “legal consulting.”

In addition to the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee is also paying for the Trump legal fees.
