Obama Is More Popular Than Trump In Alabama: Poll

Even in deep red Alabama, people like Barack Obama more than Trump.

According to a new Fox News poll, former President Barack Obama is more popular in Alabama than Donald Trump.

The poll found that President Obama had a 52 percent favorability rating in the Alabama, while Donald Trump’s favorability stands at 49 percent.

Donald Trump won the state by 28 points in the 2016 presidential election and Obama lost the state by over 20 points in both 2008 and 2012.

Obama had a 45 percent unfavorable rating in the poll, while Trump had a 48 percent unfavorable rating.

The same poll showed Democrat Doug Jones in the lead over Republican Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race. Jones is leading Moore by 8 points in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Moore. The poll showed 50 percent of likely voters support Jones, while 42 percent support Moore.

About the poll: The poll included a sample of 823 registered voters, with 649 identified as likely voters. The poll has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
