According to a new report by The Washington Post, an executive for a Russian social media company reached out to Donald Trump Jr. and Donald Trump’s social media manager Dan Scavino during the 2016 campaign, according to a new report.

The report notes that Konstantin Sidorkov, who works at Russia’s VK social network, emailed Trump Jr. and Dan Scavino in January and November 2016 with campaign recommendations.

His recommendations included telling the two men that Trump should create a profile on the Russian social network.

Trump campaign was excited to get the Russian help

According to the Washington Post report, the British publicist who put together the Trump Tower meeting emailed Trump Jr. with promises of dirt on Clinton who then forwarded it to Scavino.

Scavino replied to Goldstone’s email, telling the publicist to “send me whatever you have.”

“Thank you so much for looking out for Mr. Trump and his presidential campaign,” he wrote, according to the Post.

Trump Jr.’s attorney told the Post that forwarding the email to Scavino was the last VK discussion he recalled.
