Eric Holder Calls For Mass Protest If Trump Fires Mueller

Former Attorney General calls the firing of the Special Counsel an ‘ABSOLUTE RED LINE.’

Obama Attorney General Eric Holder called for “mass, popular, peaceful” protest if Donald Trump attempts to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Holder tweeted Sunday saying “ABSOLUTE RED LINE: the firing of Bob Mueller or crippling the special counsel’s office. If removed or meaningfully tampered with, there must be mass, popular, peaceful support of both. The American people must be seen and heard – they will ultimately be determinative.”

Worries that Trump may attempt to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller have increased in recent days as Mueller’s investigation has intensified and led to several high profile indictments and guilty pleas.

Thus far, Mueller’s investigation has led to major prosecutorial actions against four Trump associates.

Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick gates were indicted for several crimes, including money laundering.

And Mike Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser, has pled guilty to lying to the FBI and is now cooperating with Mueller’s team. In addition to Flynn, another Trump campaign official, George Papadopoulos, also pled guilty to lying to the FBI and is cooperating with Mueller.
