Another Poll Has Democrat With Big Lead Over Roy Moore In Alabama Senate Race

New Fox News poll finds Democrat Doug Jones has 9 point lead over Republican Roy Moore.

A brand new Fox News poll has found that the recent flood of stories about Roy Moore’s sexually inappropriate behavior with teenagers is having an impact with voters.

The poll finds that if the election for Alabama’s Senate seat were held today, Democrat Doug Jones would beat out Republican Roy Moore by 9 points (49% vs. 40%) among registered voters.

And when it comes to likely voters, Jones would win 50 percent to 42 percent the poll found.

However, the poll also found that a majority of voters think Moore should stay in the race regardless of whether or not they believe the allegations against him.

The polls also found that 33 percent of Moore supporters said if the election consisted of Jones, Moore, and Republican Luther Strange as a write-in candidate, they would vote for Strange.

Other key numbers from the poll:

  • Jones leads by 26-points with women overall (58-32%).
  • Jones leads by 49-points with women under 45 (69-20%).
  • Jones even receives support from 19% of Republican women.

And 46 percent of voters don’t believe Roy Moore has strong moral character.

The Fox News poll is the second poll to show plummeting support for Roy Moore.
