Biden leading Trump in key swing states of Pennsylvania and Michigan

Vice President Biden holds leads in the key swing states of Pennsylvania and Michigan, two new Fox News polls show.

Trump narrowly won both states in 2016 and does not have a viable electoral college path without winning both midwestern states.

According to the Fox News polls:

Biden leads Trump 49 to 41 percent in Michigan

Biden leads Trump 50 to 42 percent in Pennsylvania

Michigan

Biden has the broadest coalition of supporters leading among women, non-white voters and voters over age 65. Specifically, women supported Biden 20 percent more than Trump and non-white voters preferred Biden 63 percent more than Trump.

Trump, on the other hand, leads Biden among white men, white evangelical Christians, and white people without a college degree.

Pennsylvania

Biden has a net positive favorable rating by 9 points (52 favorable, 43 unfavorable), while Trump is underwater by 9 points (44 favorable, 53 unfavorable).

A full 45 percent, have a “strongly” negative opinion of Trump, while only 30 percent say the same for Biden.

Biden leads among women in Pennsylvania by 21 points

Biden leads among Millennials in Pennsylvania 24 points

Biden leads among suburban women in Pennsylvania 30 points

Trump leads among rural whites by 18 points

Trump leads among Gen Xers by 12 points

Trump leads among whites without a college degree by 15 points.

Importantly, Trump’s lead among men is only 7 points among men, which is significantly below his 17-point advantage in 2016.
