13 Million Sign Up For Obamacare Despite Republican’s Best Efforts So much for that whole “Obamacare is collapsing” theory. Despite the best efforts of Republicans to sabotage it, Obamacare seems to be thriving. For the 2017 plan year, 13 million people signed up for health coverage, which is essentially in line with the Obama administrations expectations.
