DNC Votes To Reduce Influence Of Superdelegates In Presidential Primaries The Democratic Party just made the process for choosing the party’s presidential candidate a bit more democratic. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) voted Saturday to accept new language reducing the influence of superdelegates in the presidential primary process. The DNC voted during its winter meeting accepting the need to reduce the influence of the party’s powerful leadership giving the power to the voters.
