Donald Trump’s speech to the CIA runs off the rails, turns into another bizarre Trump rant

It only took about 24 hours for Donald Trump to prove that he is very insecure about the small size of his inauguration crowd.

And on his first full day as president, during what was supposed to be a visit with CIA officials Donald Trump turned his speech into a bizarre and pathetic rant about his crowd size and many of the other common themes from his campaign speeches. Trump’s remarks lasted about 15 minutes but most of the speech was an attempt by Donald Trump to inflate the size of his inauguration crowd.

The visit to the CIA was presumably meant to help smooth over and make up for the attacks that Trump has launched against the U.S. intelligence community. However, his remarks were largely just an incoherent rant that has become a Trump hallmark.

Trump told the CIA audience that the media was lying about his crowd size and that to him it looked like maybe 1.5 million people attended his inauguration. That of course, is totally false. Donald Trump’s inauguration audience was actually quite small.

Donald Trump also repeated his odd assertion from a few weeks ago, saying “I’m like a smart person.”

He also returned to his insane idea that we should take Iraq’s oil away from them, saying “We got out wrong.” “We should have kept the oil.”

And at one point, Donald Trump even spent time talking about how young he feels. “I feel young. I feel like I’m 30, 35, 39. Somebody said are you young? I said, I think I’m young.”
