Instead of accepting the facts that the rest of the world accepts, Donald Trump is doubling down on his lie that “millions of illegals” voted in the 2016 election costing him the popular vote.
And on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump announced that he is calling for an investigation into his lie about illegal voting. But again, there is no evidence that any illegal voting took place.

On Wednesday morning Donald Trump took to Twitter to announce his “major investigation into VOTER FRAUD.”

On Monday evening, Donald Trump spent 10 minutes during a meeting with Congressional leaders ranting that he lost the popular vote because of “millions of illegals” voting.
However, Trump’s claims have been investigated over and over again and proven to be false.
In fact, NBC investigated the claim of these studies and confirmed that they are widely debunked.
However, let’s not be confused about Donald Trump’s motivation for these lies about voter fraud. This is clearly the prelude to more so-called voter ID lies and other attempts of voter suppression.
