AP REPORT: Donald Trump’s voter fraud expert registered in 3 states

According to an Associate Press report, the man that Donald Trump has put forth as his expert in voter fraud is in fact registered to vote in 3 states.

Gregg Phillips runs a conservative group called True The Vote, which falsely claims to have collected evidence of people registering to vote in multiple states and has threatened to release those people’s names as evidence of voter fraud.

But the thing is, they won’t have to look far for names of people who are registered in multiple states because Mr. Gregg Phillips himself was simultaneously registered in Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas during the 2016 election, the Associated Press found.

“Gregg Phillips, whose unsubstantiated claim that the election was marred by 3 million illegal votes was tweeted by the president, was listed on the rolls in Alabama, Texas and Mississippi, according to voting records and election officials in those states. He voted only in Alabama in November, records show,” the AP said in their report.

Phillips has claimed that multiple registrations are signs of voter fraud. And without presenting any evidence, Phillips has claimed that 3 million people cast illegal votes in the presidential election. And Donald Trump has continually repeated these bogus claims, including in front of congressional leaders.
