Chuck Schumer: Trump Picked The ‘Most Anti-Working-Class Cabinet’ Ever

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer slammed Donald Trump for his cabinet picks on Monday saying that the nominees would make things harder for working families.
“The president has shown his hand by selecting the most anti-working-class Cabinet that we have ever seen,” Schumer said. “What President Trump has done on the campaign and said on the campaign and his inaugural address is almost the exact opposite of what he’s doing now.”
Schumer continued by saying that Donald Trump’s agenda is being enacted by a “bevy of billionaires and bankers and hard-right ideologues.”
“Ever since President Trump took the oath of office, he has gone about breaking promise after promise to the working people of this country,” Schumer continued.
While Democrats don’t have the votes to block any of Trump’s nominees, they are using Senate procedural rules to drag out the confirmation process in the hopes of finding enough Republicans to vote against a nominee.
“Just three weeks in, the administration is stretching the boundaries of cognitive dissidence,” Schumer said. “He promises to stick up for working families, but every decision he has made is rigging the system further against them.”
