‘A Special Prosecutor For What?’ White House Press Secretary On Need For Special Prosecutor

On Monday, Sean Spicer was asked about the biggest political scandal in at least a generation, possibly all of American history. And response was to play dumb.

During today’s press briefing, Sean Spicer was asked about whether he thinks that there should be a special prosecutor on Russia.

Spicer’s response was, “A special prosecutor for what?”

Spicer then said that the issue has been “investigated up and down” and followed up with, “If there’s nothing to further investigate, what are you asking people to investigate?”

“How many people have to say that there’s nothing there,” he concluded, “before you realize there’s nothing there?”
Here is the exchange:

Sean Spicer continues to play dumb on the scandal of Trump campaign contacts with Russian intelligence officials. However, we learned this morning that Sean Spicer has also secretly led a push back campaign against the stories about Trump’s ties to Russia. Spicer organized calls with reporters between the director of the CIA and key Republicans in Congress. Spicer listened in on the calls.
