Conway On Trump’s Lack Of Wiretap Evidence: Microwaves Are Watching

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway suggested in a new interview that Donald Trump could have been monitored in “any number of ways,” including microwaves turned into cameras.

“What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other,” Conway told the Bergen County Record. “You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways.”

As usual, Conway didn’t provide any back up for her claims.

Conway was asked if she had any evidence to provide to back up Donald Trump’s claim that former President Obama ordered a wiretap on Trump Tower.

In response to the question of whether she had evidence for the claim, Conway offered microwaves. No, seriously, Conway said, “microwaves that turn into cameras.” She also said, “We know this is a fact of modern life.”

In a separate interview, Conway was asked about her microwave claims and she admitted she has no evidence for any of Donald Trump’s claims.

“I wasn’t making a suggestion about Trump Tower. Those are two separate things,” Conway told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“But that’s what you were asked about,” ABC News host George Stephanopoulos said.

“And I answered him about surveilling generally,” Conway said.

“I have no evidence, but that’s why there’s an investigation in Congress. That’s particularly what investigations are for,” Conway continued.

Conway was later pressed by Stephanopoulos and she responded, “No, of course I don’t have any evidence of those allegations and that answer has nothing to do with what the president said last week.”
