Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday praised a federal judge’s ruling to immediately block Donald Trump’s second Muslim-ban. Pelosi called it a victory for the Constitution.

“The Trump Administration’s repackaging did nothing to change the immoral, unconstitutional and dangerous goals of their Muslim and refugee ban. It was the same ban, driven by the same dangerous discrimination, and today, it met the same defeat in court,” Pelosi said in a statement.

“Yet another judge has found that the true unconstitutional purpose of President Trump’s Muslim ban is revealed in the hateful rhetoric and prejudice that dominated his campaign,” Pelosi continued.

“The ban’s blatant discrimination has undermined our fight on terror. The President blusters that he is strengthening our security, but his Administration’s dangerous and brazen prejudice is making America less safe, not more. Today’s temporary restraining order is another victory for our security, our values and our Constitution.”

A federal judge on Wednesday blocked Donald Trump’s second Muslim-ban order. The Hawaii federal issued a temporary restraining order barring the administration’s executive order from taking effect Thursday.
