Maddow Explains Why Russian Hacker’s Arrest Could Be Connected To Trump-Russia Scandal

One of the world’s most notorious Russian hackers was arrested over the weekend in Spain at the request of the FBI.

Reuters has reported that “Russian television station RT reported that Levashov was arrested under a U.S. international arrest warrant and was suspected of being involved in hacking attacks linked to alleged interference in last year’s U.S. election.”

Peter Levashov is also responsible for the malware that was used to influence the 2012 presidential election in Russia on behalf of Vladimir Putin.
