Donald Trump Has Paid Himself Almost $500,000 With Campaign Funds Since January

Donald Trump is personally benefiting from campaign funds that are being directed to Trump properties.

According to Federal Election Commission filings, Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign has paid Trump-owned businesses almost $500,000 since January.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that the almost $500,000 has gone directly to Trump-owned hotels, restaurants and golf clubs.

Out of more than $6 million in campaign funds that have been spent since January 1, $274,013 was paid in rent at Trump Tower.

An additional $58,685 in campaign funds has been spent on lodging at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach and another $13,828 has gone toward renting facilities and catering costs at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.

During the 2016 campaign, Donald Trump came under fire for spending $14 million in campaign funds on Trump-branded companies and family-owned businesses.
