Trump FCC To Investigate Stephen Colbert For Trump Joke

First Amendment under attack by Trump administration.

In a scary turn of events for the silly #FireColbert scandal, the Trump FCC announced Friday that the agency will investigate the comedians jokes from earlier in the week.

The news of an FCC investigation raises frightening questions about the safety of the first amendment under the Trump administration.

The FCC said the agency had received “a number” of complaints about Colbert’s commentary earlier in the week. And FCC Chairman Ajit Pai promised to “take the appropriate action” following a comprehensive investigation of Colbert’s jokes.

“We are going to take the facts that we find and we are going to apply the law as it’s been set out by the Supreme Court and other courts and we’ll take the appropriate action,” he said.

The Colbert joke in question? On Monday night in response to insults from Trump on CBS News John Dickerson Colbert said of Trump “The only thing your mouth is good at is being Vladimir Putin’s c—k holster.”
