John McCain Blasts Donald Trump Over Russia Intelligence Leak

Senator John McCain has harsh words for Donald Trump about intel leak to Russians.

Senator John McCain on Tuesday blasted Donald Trump over the reports that he shared highly confidential intelligence information with Russia officials.

McCain called Trump’s actions “deeply disturbing.” The Senator is just the latest Republican to criticize Trump over the leak.

“The reports that the President shared sensitive intelligence with Russian officials are deeply disturbing,” McCain said in a statement.
McCain’s statement continued, “Regrettably, the time President Trump spent sharing sensitive information with the Russians was time he did not spend focusing on Russia’s aggressive behavior, including its interference in American and European elections, its illegal invasion of Ukraine and annexation of Crimea, its other destabilizing activities across Europe, and the slaughter of innocent civilians and targeting of hospitals in Syria.”

Senator McCain’s statement comes on the heels of a report by the Associate Press that a European intelligence official has warned that his country may stop sharing intelligence with the United States after news broke that Donald Trump shared highly classified information with the Russians.

The official said sharing information “could be a risk for our sources,” according to the report.
