Democrats Break Fundraising Records Ahead Of Midterm Elections

The money is rolling in for House Democrats.

According to a new report, “House Democrats have already raised more money in online contributions this year ahead of the midterms than they did during all of 2015.”

The fundraising news indicates the RESISTANCE is strong as Democrats aim to take back the House which would require them to win at least 24 seats.

“The DCCC raised $20 million in online contributions since the start of the year from contributions averaging just $18,” NBC News reports.

The massive fundraising haul includes 156,000 new donors to the House Democrats campaign arm.

In addition to the strong fundraising numbers, Democrats announced that over 2.2 million people have joined their email list since the beginning of the year.

“The DCCC is actively building the largest battleground in a decade, and that’s a testament to the grassroots energy that we’re witnessing every day, in every corner of America,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law. “Our record smashing grassroots, online fundraising haul is further evidence that House Democrats are on offense while Republicans are in a full meltdown.”

Democrats have seen intense interest in several special elections including the race to fill the Georgia congressional seat left open by Tom Price. Democrat Jon Ossoff has raised a massive campaign war chest and attracted a record number of volunteers.
