Jared Kushner Implicated In Russia Investigation

The Russia Investigation Just Showed Up At Trump’s Front Door.

In a bombshell new report, NBC News is reporting that Jared Kushner is “under scrutiny” by the FBI in the Russia investigation.

An administration official told NBC News that Donald Trump son-in-law has “significant information relevant” to the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to hack the election.

The interest in Kushner is part of a broad investigation into Trump’s campaign aides as well as staff who joined the transition team and later the White House.

Last week, The Washington Post reported that a “senior White House official” that was close to Trump was considered “a person of interest,” prompting speculation that it was Kushner.

The Washington Post has also confirmed the NBC News story that Kushner is under FBI investigation.

Here is a key segment from the Washington Post report:

“Investigators are focusing on a series of meetings held by Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and an influential White House adviser, as part of their probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and related matters, according to people familiar with the investigation.

“Kushner, who held meetings in December with the Russian ambassador and a banker from Moscow , is being investigated because of the extent and nature of his interactions with the Russians, the people said.”

It’s important to point out that “under scrutiny” is not an FBI term. The FBI either investigates someone or doesn’t. These reports confirm Kushner is under investigation.

The Washington Post also reports that “In addition to possible coordination between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign to influence the 2016 presidential election, investigators are also looking broadly into possible financial crimes.”

Kushner had multiple meetings with Russias during and just after the campaign including the head of a Russian state-run bank that is under sanctions from the United States.

The FBI is also investigating a meeting in the spring of 2016 when Kushner, and now attorney general Jeff Sessions met with Russian Ambassador Kislyak during a Trump event at the Mayflower Hotel. During his speech, Trump pledged better relations with Russia.
