Kushner Had At Least Three Previously Undisclosed Contacts With Russian Ambassador

Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner had at least three previously undisclosed contacts with the Russian ambassador.

The meetings and calls took place between April and November of 2016, according to a Reuters report.

The bombshell Reuters report, which cites seven sources, notes,”Those contacts included two phone calls between April and November last year.”

And the report goes on to say, “By early this year, Kushner had become a focus of the FBI investigation into whether there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, said two other sources – one current and one former law enforcement official.”

The Reuters report also says that the FBI is investigating if the Russians suggested to the Trump team that relaxing sanctions would allow Russian banks to help people with ties to Trump.

NBC News reported Thursday that Kushner had come under scrutiny by the FBI in the Trump-Russia investigation.

And in a separate bombshell report Friday by the Washington Post, it was revealed that Kushner met privately with the Russian ambassador and asked to set up a secret backchannel communication line to avoid U.S. intelligence oversight.

The December meeting between Kushner and the Russian ambassador that took place at Trump Tower was not originally disclosed by Kushner on his security clearance forms.

“The new information about the two calls as well as other details uncovered by Reuters shed light on when and why Kushner first attracted FBI attention and show that his contacts with Russian envoy Sergei Kislyak were more extensive than the White House has acknowledged,” Reuters reports.

The Reuters report also confirms the Washington Post story about Kushner attempting to set up a secret backchannel between Trump and Putin.
