White House In Full Meltdown After Trump Jr Collusion Confirmed
The White House clearly knows that the boss (and his family) are in big, big trouble.
A new report by The Daily Beast reveals a White House in chaos and full panic.
“’This is sum of all fears stuff. It’s what we’ve all been dreading,’ said one White House official who is now exploring the possibility of retaining an attorney, a step described as purely precautionary.”
Trump unable to publically defend him on Russia
The report also notes that Trump is now unable to find anyone to go on television to publically defend him.
White House and former campaign officials who were reached by The Daily Beast spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not cleared to vent about President Trump’s first-born son. Trump, Jr. did not respond to multiple requests for comment on this story and the White House communications office and the president’s outside legal team did not respond either. Manafort’s spokesman Jason Maloni would only tell The Daily Beast that the former campaign chairman had “nothing to add” as of Tuesday noontime.
And Trump advisers are increasingly willing to throw Trump Jr. under the bus to reporters. Members of the administration have taken to calling Trump’s eldest son “Fredo,” a reference to The Godfather.
One administration official even told The Daily Beast that Trump Jr is an “idiot.”
An Axios report noted that the crisis is “creating a very tense environment” and that many “can’t believe the level of foolishness required for Don Jr. to not only do this but to have such a conversation over email.”
