Repeal Of Obamacare Without Replacement Rejected By The Senate

BREAKING

Republicans just lost another key vote in their effort to repeal Obamacare.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Senate rejected a proposal to repeal significant portions of Obamacare without a replacement.

The amendment went down in a vote of 45 to 55 with seven Republicans joining Democrats in voting against it.

Republicans who voted no: Senators Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine, Dean Heller of Nevada, John McCain of Arizona, Rob Portman of Ohio, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

Wednesday afternoon’s failed amendment follows the rejection Tuesday night of another version of the Obamacare repeal that included the Senate Republican replacement play known as BCRA.
