Israeli Prime Minister Is The Subject Of A Fraud Investigation

Seems like a big deal.

Israeli police have confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the subject of an investigation into allegations of “fraud, breach of trust, and bribes.”

At the same time, Netanyahu’s former chief of staff Ari Harow has reached a deal with prosecutors in the case to become a state’s witness in the corruption charge against Netanyahu.

According to the Guardian, “Harow is expected to receive six months of community service and a fine of $193,000 on separate breach of trust charges – rather than a prison sentence – in exchange for his testimony.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, which has caused many Israelis concern.

The fraud and bribery accusation were confirmed in police documents provided to a court Thursday.

Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, was also interviewed by police this week in a separate investigation probing household costs in the PM’s home.

In a statement, Netanyahu said, “We completely reject the unfounded claims made against the prime minister.”

“The campaign to change the government is underway, but it is destined to fail, for a simple reason: There won’t be anything because there was nothing.”
