Obama Will Be Back to Help Democrats in Fall

We’ve missed you, Obama!

President Barack Obama is reemerging from his time off to help rebuild the Democratic Party!

In the coming weeks, aides will join the former president to plot out his fall schedule.

Those close to him say that while he will play an “active role in helping his party rebuild.” But much of his work is expected to be behind the scenes.

However, he is expected to do this with caution.

One aide describes his reemergence as a “delicate dance” that will help Democrats but prevent him from remaining the face of the party.

Democratic strategist David Wade remarked that “it’s a great moment for President Obama to emerge.”

“Unlike many of his recent predecessors, he left office without scandal and with high approval ratings,” Wade said.

“And with the incumbent president in the White House bogged down by investigation and deep unpopularity, the contrast is helpful.”

However, Cal Jillson, a professor of political science at Southern Methodist University, says Obama needs to “tread lightly.”

“He would be the target against which Trump would direct his fury,” added Jillson. “From Trump’s perspective nothing better could happen.”

Although Obama’s schedule is mostly unknown, he has already committed to campaign for Democratic candidate Ralph Northam, who is running for governor of Virginia.

Obama is expected to help other candidates who have elections in November.
