This Is How A Neo-Nazi Publication Responded To Trump’s Charlottesville Remarks

Trump’s Charlottesville statement was a big fat dog whistle.

The response to Saturday’s the horrific murder of a young woman by a white supremacist who intentionally drove his car into a crowd of anti-white supremacist protesters was universal condemnation.

Well, maybe near-universal condemnation. Donald Trump was the only prominent U.S. political leader not to condemn the violence and hate of the neo-nazi crowds.

Many have speculated about Trump’s reason for going soft on the white supremacists, arguing that Trump doesn’t want to bite the hand that feeds him.

And now we are finding out exactly why Trump was unwilling to condemn the racists in Charlotteville. It was a big fat dog whistle to the group he considers his base.

It was a big fat dog whistle to the group he considers his base.

As Politico’s Playbook reports, the neo-Nazi publication THE DAILY STORMER was quite happy with Trump’s statements.

Here is what they wrote about Trump’s comments:

“Trump comments were good. He didn’t attack us. He just said the nation should come together. Nothing specific against us. He said that we need to study why people are so angry, and implied that there was hate … on both sides! So he implied the antifa [anti-fascists] are haters. There was virtually no counter-signaling of us at all. He said he loves us all. Also refused to answer a question about White Nationalists supporting him. No condemnation at all. When asked to condemn, he just walked out of the room. Really, really good. God bless him.”

This, of course, is not the first time Trump has been unwilling or slow to condemn white supremacist. During the 2016 election, Trump took days of equivocating to condemn David Duke the former leader of the KKK.
