GOP Senator Comes Out Against Trump Tax Plan

First Republican Senator comes out against the tax bill.

We are starting to see cracks in the Republican tax bill. Senator Ron Johnson (WI) announced Wednesday that he does not support the bill because it benefits large corporations and not smaller businesses.

“If they can pass it without me, let them. I’m not going to vote for this tax package,” Johnson told the Wall Street Journal.

Johnson also called the process his Republican colleagues have taken on the tax bill “pretty offensive, personally.”

It is still possible that Johnson will change his mind and be persuaded by some minor changes to the bill.
