Majority Say Trump Should Resign Over Sexual Assault Allegations: Poll

This number should scare the Trump White House.

Voters want Donald Trump to resign over the allegations he sexually assaulted and harassed over a dozen women, a new poll finds.

According to the new Public Policy Polling survey, 53 percent of voters say Trump should resign because of the allegations. At the same time, 42 percent think he should remain in office.

Also of note, 53 percent of voters believe the women who have accused President Trump of harassment, while 31 percent think the women aren’t telling the truth.

Voters also give Trump poor marks for job approval. The poll found that 56 percent of voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing as president, while Trump’s approval rating in the December poll was 41 percent.

Other interesting numbers from the PPP survey:

  • Just 38 percent of voters think Trump is honest, while 57 percent say he’s not.
  • 62 percent of voters still want to see Trump’s tax returns
  • 51 percent of voters believe Trump is mentally unbalanced
  • 51 percent of voters support impeaching Trump compared to 42 percent don’t

About the poll: Public Policy Polling surveyed 862 registered voters on December 11th and 12th. The margin of error is +/-3.3%.
