The Trump administration expects the Special Counsel report will come within days.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller may deliver his report on Russia collusion in the coming days, a new Washington Post report.

And according to the Washington Post, members of the Trump White House are bracing for what could be a very damaging report by the Special Counsel.

The Washington Post report follows an earlier CNN report Wednesday which noted that “Attorney General Bill Barr is preparing to announce as early as next week the completion of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, with plans for Barr to submit to Congress soon after a summary of Mueller’s confidential report.”

“Justice Department officials are preparing for the end of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s nearly two-year investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and believe a confidential report could be issued in coming days, according to people familiar with the discussions,” The Washington Post reports.

Trump world is bracing for a damaging Special Counsel report.

The Washington Post report details “an adviser to President Trump said there is palpable concern among the president’s inner circle that the report might contain information about Trump and his team that is politically damaging.”

It remains unclear how detailed the Special Counsel report will be and whether the newly sworn-in Attorney General will make the report public. The Special Counsel regulations require Mueller to deliver a confidential report to the Attorney General and it will then be up to the Attorney General how much to share with Congress.

Though if Attorney General Barr does attempt to keep the report from the public, Democrats in Congress will be up in arms and start letting the subpoenas fly.
