Donald Trump Ordered Disastrous Raid Over dinner With Steve Bannon and Son-In-Law

More and more troubling news is coming out about the botched Navy Seal raid Donald Trump ordered over the weekend. And now we are learning that Donald Trump ordered the raid while having dinner with Steve Bannon and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.

CBS News reports  that when Donald Trump was deciding to order the raid that killed nearly 30 people including a U.S. military officer, several civilians and an American citizen (the 8-year-old daughter of Anwar al-Awlaki) – “he had several trusted advisers by his side. Among the: his son-in-law and top adviser Jared Kushner.” And CBS went on to say, “Steve Bannon, the chief strategist at the White House and former Breitbart News chief, was also in attendance.”

Trump recently gave his white supremacist adviser Steve Bannon a national security role by elevating him to be a permanent member of the National Security Council.

And Trump’s press secretary confirmed that Trump was at dinner with Bannon and his son-in-law when he was considering whether or not to approve the raid. The comments come after news reports that the president had signed off on the operation with insufficient knowledge behind him.

Trump calls the raid a “success”

The Trump administration has called the raid a “success.” However, it is unclear whether the raid yielded any intelligence data. And Reuters reported yesterday that “Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support or adequate backup preparations.”

Trump administration trying to blame Obama for botched mission

As questions mount about the disastrous raid, the Trump administration has been suggesting that the raid was approved by President Obama. However, the New York Times and others have confirmed that, in fact, President Obama did not approve the mission. Not mention the fact that Donald Trump is the president now, not Barack Obama and one would think that before Trump decides to send troops into harm’s way that he would evaluate the mission himself.
