Trump Tweets Something He Saw On TV, Forgets To Read Rest Of Article

There has been a lot reported about Donald Trump’s habit of knee-jerk tweeting, especially in reaction to what he sees on TV. And it seems that Trump has done it again, but this time Trump might have been better served by reading the full text of what he was referencing.

This morning, the folks on “Morning Joe” were discussing an article that about the 9th Circut Courts decision to maintain the nationwide halt on Trump’s Muslim-ban.

And it seems clear that Trump was sitting in the White House watching “Morning Joe” because a few minutes later he tweeted this:

Here is the video clip from “Morning Joe” that Trump was clearly watching:

But here is the problem, the article Trump is referencing actually comes to the conclusion that the court was correct in its decision.

According to the Washington Post, while the Lawfare article does take issue with some of what the Appeals court judges said, the author ultimately says that the court made the right decision.

Are there tea leaves to read in this opinion? There sure are, particularly with respect to the judges’ analysis of the government’s likelihood of prevailing on the merits and its blithe dismissal of the government’s claims of national security necessity on pages 26-27 — a matter on which the per curiam spends only one sentence and one brief footnote.
