Monica Crowley was planning to join Donald Trump’s national security team but then it turned out that she plagiarized her book and her PhD thesis. Which is why Monica Crowley announced on Monday that she is no longer planning to be a part the Trump administration.

Crowley said in a statement, “After much reflection I have decided to remain in New York to pursue other opportunities and will not be taking a position in the incoming administration. I greatly appreciate being asked to be part of President-elect Trump’s team and I will continue to enthusiastically support him and his agenda for American renewal.”

The Trump team had initially tried to defend Crowley. When the allegations initially came out, the Trump team realeased a statement saying “Any attempt to discredit Monica is nothing more than a politically motivated attack that seeks to distract from the real issues facing this country.”

However, this time around the Trump team isnt coming to her defense.

“The NSC will miss the opportunity to have Monica Crowley as part of our team. We wish her all the best in her future,” Flynn said of Crowley’s decision, as quoted by the Washington Times.
