Another Poll Shows Trumps Approval Rating Is Falling

Donald Trump’s approval rating has continued to drop during his first two weeks in the White House according to a new poll.

In a Morning Consult/Politico poll that was released on Wednesday, 47 percent of voters said they approve of Trump’s job performance which is down from 49 percent in the same poll last week.

And strikingly, Trump’s disapproval rating has also increased from 41 percent to 46 percent over that time period.

Additionally, the poll found that a majority of registered Democrats do not want their elected officials to work with the president. With just 34 percent of Democrats saying that they want Democrats in Congress to find “ways to work with President Trump in order to get things done.”

And the poll also found that 56 percent of Democrats believe their elected officials should stick to their principles when working with Trump, “even if that means blocking all legislation or nominees for government posts.”

The Morning Consult/Politico poll surveyed 2,070 registered voters between Feb 2–4. The poll has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
