Trump Advice to Fourth Grader: Make Money, Don’t Go Into Politics

Donald Trump visited with the class at St. Andrew Catholic School in Pine Hills, Florida, on Friday afternoon along with Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Sen. Marco Rubio, and Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, and her husband, Jared Kushner. The president was at the school to discuss school choice, policies advocated by DeVos.

Trump, of course, had time to say something ridiculous to a group of fourth graders.

According to Politico, he described the class as “beautiful,” and then two 10-year-old students welcomed him. He chatted with some of the students, including one girl who told him she wanted to start her own business someday.

Trump replied, “That’s a good idea. Make a lot of money, right? But don’t run for politics after.”

To top it off, as Trump left, he suggested to the two students who had welcomed him that they should take a picture with him and offered, “We’re going to make you famous, OK?”
