Russia Knew In Advance About Syrian Chemical Weapons Attack: Report

A senior U.S. official told the Associated Press that Russia had advanced notice of last week’s chemical weapons attack.
According to a new report by the Associate Press, a senior U.S. official confirmed that United States intelligence has concluded that Russia knew in advance of Syria’s chemical weapons attack last week.

The report notes that “a Russian-operated drone flew over a hospital in Syria as victims of the attack were rushing to get treatment.”

And a few hours after drone flyover a Russian fighter jet bombed the hospital “in what American officials believe was an attempt to cover up the usage of chemical weapons.”

The Associated Press report continued by saying, “The official said the presence of the drone couldn’t have been a coincidence, and that Russia must have known the chemical weapons attack was coming and that victims were seeking treatment.”
