Manafort Took 18 Trips To Moscow Flight Records Show

Trump campaign chair traveled to Russia at least 18 times, was in regular contact with Putin allies.

President Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s deep ties to Russia just got a lot deeper.

According to a new report by McClatchy, a review of flight records reveal that Manafort took at least 18 trips Moscow during his time as a political consultant in Ukraine.

The revelation of trips to Moscow is important because of Manafort’s work as a consultant for pro-Russian forces within Ukraine.

According to the McClatchy report, flight records provided by a government source in Kiev reveal much deeper ties between Manafort and Russian than previously known.

And in addition to the trips to Moscow, McClatchy also reported that Manafort to Kiev 19 times, including after Vladimir Putin ally Viktor Yanukovych was ousted as Ukraine’s president in 2014.

McClatchy also details how Manafort was in regular contact with Putin’s allies for nearly a decade during his time working for pro-Russia political parties in Ukraine.

Manafort and another Trump campaign associate, Richard Gates, were indicted last month on conspiracy charges against the United States, tax fraud and money laundering by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
